OUR STORY & HISTORY

DOT Chambers LLC is built by lawyers who have chosen to devote their life’s work to family law. It is a practice shaped by the belief that there are few areas of law more personal, where the decisions made carry lasting consequences for how people live, relate, and move forward.

We started this law firm with a clear intention: to meet people where they are, and to guide them, step by step, through what can often feel like an uncertain process. No two situations are the same. We take the time to understand each client’s circumstances in full, before offering advice that is clear, considered, and grounded in what truly matters.

At its core, our work is about helping clients move forward with clarity and confidence. We believe that good outcomes are not arrived at by chance, but shaped through thoughtful guidance, sound judgment, and a steady hand at the right moments.

Our lawyers have collectively been called to the Singapore Bar for over 25 years and have advised on and conducted thousands of family law matters, from amicable settlements to complex, high-value and precedent-setting litigation, including landmark cases before the Court of Appeal, such as:

  • Twiss, Christopher James Hans v Twiss, Yvonne Prendergast [2015] SGCA 52: the case that affirmed the current structured approach on division of matrimonial assets in dual-income marriages; and

  • TQU v TQT [2020] SGCA 8: a significant win at the Court of Appeal, reversing the High Court's original award of 25% of the matrimonial pool to the Husband and increasing it to 75%, resulting in an increase of about $6.8 million more to the Husband.
